Cleaning

Gently rub with the included cleaning cloth; semi-frequently is usually enough.

If it needs a little more, you use warm water and a mild soap. Dry thoroughly immediately after to prevent tarnishing of non-silver metals.

(removes tarnish)

Non-silver metals will gradually patina. Patina is a tarnish of color on metal that naturally occurs when metal it is exposed to air. It is easily removed with a pro polish pad (included with order), steel wool, or even ketchup! Submerge your piece in ketchup for 10 minutes then rinse with warm water and gently rub dry.

Re-darkening Impressions

Over time the black enamel may wear off. To re-darken you can use a permanent marker such as a sharpie (oil-based will last longer) by inking overtop the impression. Give it a moment to dry, then use rubbing alcohol on paper towel and gently rub until the excess ink is gone.

Removing Scratches

As time passes your piece may get scratched. You can use size #0000 extra fine steel wool across the surface to help blend a fresh scratch leaving a matte finish. For a shinier look use a polishing cloth or a pro polish pad immediately after.
